Sarah has always had a very spontaneous and intuitive approach when making her artwork, she creates highly sophisticated, over the top images, which are purely imaginative and fantastical. She employs as many different methods of mark making as she can lay her hands on, obsessively layering and relayering.

Images may be inspired by memories, stories and things she has seen, always added to by her own unique way of seeing, she wishes to entice and encourage the viewer to look deeper into the images and get involved.

Sarah is inspired by primitive arts, niave art, outsider and childrens art, folk art and fairgrounds, tapestries, pottery, grand old houses, old toys and things a lot of people may have long since forgotten.
